My First Twitter Chat

So, last night I got involved in my first Twitter chat. (If you have never engaged in a Twitter chat, I would highly recommend it.)  It was #ELLCHAT, an excellent conversation with some great minds in ESL. I have always wanted to check out this conversation, but it does not start until 9pm on a school night. I like to be heading to bed around 9, so getting involved in a professional conversation is not something I am looking to do right before bed.  At first I thought I would just scan through the tweets and see what is going on in ESL right now. Before I knew it, I was tweeting and they were retweeting and including me in the conversation. My phone was blowing up! Tweets and blogs and websites, OH MY! I finally excused myself from the conversation after about 30 minutes and headed to bed. Long after I was trying to fall asleep, I could hear notifications on my phone continue. If only we could have this conversation at 9am...
